From Yelp reviewer Lena Y. of San Diego, CA:

“You really can’t beat the happy hour! I split a pitcher of ultimate margarita, had a half dozen oysters, tried the ceviche and coconut mojito. Chill poolside hangout with ample seating.”

From Yelp reviewer Mary B. of Palo Alto, CA:

“My husband and I stayed here for a work trip last weekend. Let me tell you…we are ALREADY PLANNING OUR TRIP BACK!!! We had the best time. Hotel and restaurants are beautiful!! Amazing service!

I was working from the hotel on Friday and unfortunately forgot my charger for Mac computer at home Nooooooooo! I was at the pool house trying to relax, but still had so much work to do. With a dead computer. The manager of The Pool House came around asking if he can help with anything, then I mentioned “well yes, if you have a Mac charger”. He ran to his office and brought out two models and asked which one for my computer. THANK YOU CHRIS!! This was so kind of him to lend me these – ALL afternoon!

The food was great, view awesome and service excellent!!”

From Yelp Reviewer Stephen K. of Dallas, TX:

“Ahh nice pool scene. Beautiful people, normal people. All kinds. The perfect weather makes it hard to go wrong but the service here was just about perfect as well. Friendly, not stuffy, came around frequently. We arrived after 4 and there were some cabanas in action and a few kids swimming but it was quiet and relaxed-most people soaking up rays in the lounges around the pool. 5:00 hit and the happy hour pricing started which is definitely the time to eat and drink (1/2 off). Guacamole and chips were just right-a modified version with some radish slices and pepitas but tasted good. Margarita on the rocks was delicious with a “float of grand marnier” on top.”

From Yelp reviewer Yvonne C. San Diego, CA

“An impromptu chill-out sesh at The Pool House is exactly what I needed after a mind altering massage at Spa Pendry. It had just about everything I needed, heated pool, a jacuzzi, a full bar, snacks, hot cabana boys and a gorgeous view. I kind of wanna live here.

Their pièce de résistance is their Happy Hour that has just been extended from 5-7pm, general public is welcome. I’m talking half off EVERYTHING, all the dranks, all the snacks and the cabana boys..oh that was just for me.

This should be on your summer bucket list my little baby dolls.”

a tall building in a city

Yelp reviewer Cat H. of Newport Beach, CA

“Came into town for my bday and we decided to hit up the newest pool party in town. Ali was our host and she was great. We got a great daybed that was quite comfortable.

Our service was great and we ate some food and ordered bottles. We even got food that wasn’t on the menu bc we had a craving and our server rocked. The staff came over and did a big show to show off the magnums and say happy bday. It was a lot of fun. The DJ was great too!”

From Yelp reviewer Lindsay L. of Las Vegas, NV

“What a gorgeous venue located in the heart of San Diego’s Gaslamp district! A hidden gem tucked away on the rooftop overlooking the bustling downtown. Obsessed with the decor. Where do I get those lighting fixtures that hang above the bar? Or the pillows? I even love the large wooden tables that have a heat lamp feature above them (ok maybe I wouldn’t love them in three months but while I was enjoying my lunch the other day during an extremely brisk SD “winter” day, it was actually a lovely touch)!

Staff was beyond friendly and the food and beverage did not disappoint. The Sun Ray Mule crushed it! Not typically a gin fan but that cocktail was fab. Overall a beautiful venue that I can not wait to revisit. My friend is getting married this spring and this might be the perfect spot to spend a day celebrating while catching some rays! Love it! Thanks for bringing something to unique to downtown San Diego!!”

a vase of flowers on a table

From TripAdvisor reviewer Carl J. of Birmingham, Michigan:

“Rooftop on third floor of hotel. Really great location and view of street below. The better views are the people. Younger crowd but chilled vibe. Where this place shines is in the service, food and drinks. Happy Hour is an outstanding value. The oysters were great, chicken wings delicious and cocktails tasty. Service really shines with friendly and attentive staff. Arlene was our server twice and what a great personality and memory, providing outstanding service. A must visit if a hotel guest or in the area. The pool is nice too with lots of comfortable seating and lounging options.”
