The Pool House may be known for our stunning city views and idyllic poolside dining, but that’s not all we offer. Our menu is full of delicious foods and drinks to keep you satisfied whether you’re enjoying a quiet lunch or looking for a great Happy Hour menu option. While we also offer amazing entertainment and events, the reviews are in about our food – and they’re hugely positive.

Spending the day off on a rooftop pool on 5th Ave! Friendly staff greeted my bf and I the second we walked in. We started off with a honey lavender sparkling cocktail and the blackberry whiskey mule. Delicious and refreshing! We weren’t too hungry so shared a few things: Kale caesar, Yellowtail sashimi ( w/ jalapeño and ponzu), and shrimp cocktail. The home Caesar dressing was the best I’ve ever had! Shrimp cocktail was so fresh with marinated sweet cherry tomatoes and avocado. I’m so excited to come back and check out the vibes during summer! I definitely see myself spending a lot of summer days chillin in their cabanas!
Stephanie L. raved about the vegan options and the great time she had at The Pool House: I was pleasantly surprised to find so many vegan options on the menu. The ‘Banana Split’ was absolutely amazing. The ice-cream was rich and creamy, while the covered banana was crispy and phenomenal. The drink that Arlene suggested, the ‘Fresca Fizz,’ was fun and refreshing. The Pool House is a fabulous hotel pool, providing a truly remarkable experience for guests!
According to William S., The Pool House’s food has “Yelp-worthy picture status.” Drinks are served with just the right amount of alcohol, especially their dope copper mug mules. Their pitchers are also half off during HH, but I would not recommend getting it if you are getting it for yourself. The ice that they put in it will melt and can dilute the flavor if you do not drink it fast enough.
The appetizers are great too! I recommend the Pool House burger, duck confit tostadas, oysters, and buffalo lollipop wings. Presentation looks good too, Yelp worthy picture status. If you are by the pool, they serve the food on collapsible bed table trays.
Danielle R. had a great time lounging at the bar and enjoying our Pool House Burger. The wait staff roams around the pool and you can flag someone down for service or you can head over to the bar. I went to the bar and ordered a strawberry daiquiri and a pool house burger. I brought my drink back to my lounge chair and when my food was ready, it was brought to me on a tray right at the lounge chair. The drink was perfect and exactly what I needed to cool down on a warm day and the meal was awesome! I don’t eat beef very often, maybe once a month, and I am so glad this was my one a month beef meal. The burger was sizable and cooked well. The fries were great. The perfect amount of crispy and had some great seasoning. When I was done with my meal a busser promptly came by and took my tray so it wasn’t hanging around.
And James T.? Well, he stopped by The Pool House for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. This place will be the new hot-spot pool party in San Diego this summer! Think of Hard Rock’s pool party, but classier. They have a nicer Pool, nicer staff and better fare. Came here for a Yelp-Elite sponsored event and was completely satisfied. They have a variety of Mules to choose from served in copper tin mugs. I had the Fighting Irish Mule made with Jameson. It was so good I ordered two. The lollipop chicken drummets were great and the Rock Shrimp was excellent.
The Pool area is equipped with plenty of seating and sexy, vegas-style cabanas. It’s the closest thing to a vegas pool party in San Diego you’ll find. I can’t wait to check this place out on a weekend afternoon…It’s gonna be a poppin Pool Party at the Pendry Pool House this summer!!!
Rico T. recommends The Pool House for lunch and drinks. The service is amazing, great staff , the food is delicious and very decent price for being a downtown pool venue.
My favorite thing on the menu is the Pool House Burger and the Yellowtail tacos.
The Burger is delicious, juicy and very filling, comes with fries and the tacos are deff worth it, they have good portion of Yellowtail fish and the seasoning is perfect.
It’s deff a great spot for lunch, I deff recommend it for a quick bite and have some refreshing drinks with friends.
